I am Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Technoeconomic Corridor (PRTEC).
My background is in finance and business management. I have an MBA and a Master in Public Policy from The University of Michigan. At hte moment I am working on a Phd thesis about Entrepreneurship as a New Model of Economic DEvelopemnt for Puerto Rico. The doctoral degree is from Universidad del Pais Vasco in San Sebastian, Spain.
I have worked for over 10 years in the banking, insurance and investment industries at various positions. My latest position was as an Executive Director for the Western Region Chamber of Commerce.
PRTEC is a non profit private organization that promotes innovation and comercialization in the western region of PR. It is a joint effort between academia, government and the private sector. Our main initiatives are: research & technology parks, VITEC2 technology incubator, industry clusters, and coordination of regional economic development strategies.
