My goal is to develop and implement statistical data mining approaches to analyze the factors (pharmacological and non-pharmacological) impacting neural and behavioral phenotypes associated with psychiatric disorders. Currently I'm doing research in Psychiatric and Statistical Neurogenetics. My aim is to strengthen and expand my preclinical and clinical neuroscience training. My purpose is to help increase the capabilities of finding more perosonalized and efficacious treatment strategies for PTSD.
My current work specializes in Structural Equation Modeling using Openmx for understanding the heritability of Neuropsychiatric phenotypes. I focus on analyzing neural phenotypes using MRI structural imaging and Diffusion Tensor Imaging. I also continue working with the development of animal models of psychiatric disorders particularly PTSD based on data mining approaches. This strategy will better help characterize intermediate neurobiological phenotypes and their response to treatments.
