His career started in 1972 as a business entrepreneur with an industrial laundry. Stemming from the oil crisis in 1973 he decided to accept an offer and went to work for a distribution and manufacturer firm of expansion joints, stainless steel hose assembly and fittings that attended the pharmaceuticals industry.

He was the first Technical Sales Engineers in Puerto Rico representing a line of adhesive, sealants and service treatment polymers in the northern part of Florida, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. As an adhesive specialist in 1981 he provided counseling for the first Space Shuttle project, the Columbia project at Kennedy Space Center in Melbourne, Florida.

As an entrepreneur in 1982 he founded his first industrial and distribution firm, in 1985 looking to pursue other markets more in tune to technology he founded E- Tek a distributor and representative in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean of industrial, medical, and telecommunication, parts, accessories and equipment; subsequently the firm was known as Ero Technology of Puerto Rico, Inc. that by 1990 grossed 5 million in annual sales.

In 1995 one of his daughters of only 11 years of age at the time was diagnosed with having catastrophic cancer diseases. Both Mr. Nieves and his wife left everything and dedicated their time to help their daughters’ recovery.

From 2004 to 2007 he contributed with his Psychology skills to the Department of Defense at the medical clinic and; the mobilization and deployment center.

While following through at the DOD in 2005 with a group of concern citizens for the environment he founded a NPO Psychophysical Wellness Corporation specializing in enhancing the air oxygen levels.

In 2004 he received training on Terrorism and Disaster Response and acquired the certification from the University of Baltimore.

2004 - 2015 He was involved in doing research and development in safe environmental formulations for agriculture, residential, commercial, industrial and government use. Some of the research done was administered in Panama, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. Products where evaluated and proof of concept was certified. Products were registered in Panama, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
