𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 volunteer 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀, internship, 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗺 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Seeking graduate student (or advanced undergrad) interested in geospatial and epidemiologic research experience at the intersection of urbanicity, climate change, and health. Required qualifications include:
• Spanish-language primary fluency / bilingual proficiency (or full professional proficiency) and familiarity with Latinx and/or Caribbean contexts
• Intermediate data entry and data cleaning skills
• Experience with ArcGIS mapping software and data analysis
• Interpersonal communication skills (e.g., active listening, problem-solving)
- Must receive academic credit for duration of internship/practicum
Tasks include residential address verification for research participants in a longitudinal cohort study located in Puerto Rico led by Dr. Josiemer Mattei as well as preliminary geospatial data analyses. The project can be completed part-time remotely within 6-8 months. This is a volunteer opportunity. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱.
