With an impeccable career and more than 40 years of experience, Dr. Ivette Perfecto has excelled in the development of agroecological studies, with research focused on the dynamics and functioning of ecosystems, as well as the application of ecological theories in agricultural systems, which have been of great relevance to the international scientific community.

The Puerto Rican has more than 100 publications in scientific journals, which exceed 27,000 citations. She is also the author of several popular science articles and book chapters. She has presented papers on her research in countless international forums and has received awards from various world-renowned entities.
