Melyane Ortiz Acosta, electric engineer at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center and alumna (2008) from Turabo University was awarded the Agency Honor Award for Early Career Achievement and Robert H. Goodard Award for Exceptional chievement for Engineering.

Rebecca Soler, President of the Puerto Rico Chemists Association (Colegio de Químicos de Puerto Rico), has announced that Professor Jorge L. Colón has been named the recipient of the highest honor conferred by the Colegio, the Dr. Osvaldo Ramírez Torres Award 2014-2015. The award is given to chemists that have stood out for their continuous and significant contributions to Science, the community, and the Colegio.

ITE-RUM gana primer lugar en competencia de transportación

El capítulo estudiantil del Instituto de Ingenieros en Transportación (ITE) del Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez (RUM), obtuvo el primer lugar en la campeonato regional denominado Traffic Bowl, que se llevó a cabo del 27 al 29 de mayo en Orlando, Florida.


La competencia, que reunió a cuatro universidades del estado de Florida y al Colegio, que forman parte del Distrito 10 de ITE, mide el conocimiento de los equipos en temas de transportación.
