I am currently the Program Director for the Science Alliance at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS). The Science Alliance offers innovative workshops and courses for early career scientists to develop business, leadership and communication skills. In 2014, I completed the Science and Technology Policy Fellowship under the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). I was assigned to work at the National Science Foundation (NSF) for two years. I obtained my bachelors’ degree in Biology from University of Puerto Rico and my PhD in Neuroscience from Brandeis University. My doctoral work focused in studying the role of multisensory integration in taste processing.
