Dr. Greetchen Díaz-Muñoz, Director of Science Education Programs and Community Partnerships for CienciaPR, is a candidate for re-election to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). Díaz Muñoz was the first Puerto Rican and Latina to have been elected into the new governance of ASM and has served on the board for almost two years. Her re-election would extend her term for an additional 3 years. Díaz Muñoz is also the past president of the Society of Microbiologists of Puerto Rico, the local branch of ASM in Puerto Rico.

The board of directors of ASM is the fiduciary body that establishes the budget and the fulfillment of its mission in promoting microbial sciences. ASM is the largest scientific society within the life sciences.

We invite all CienciaPR friends who are also members of ASM to cast their votes in the organization's elections on or before December 7 here: https://asm.intelliscaninc-surveys.com/VoterLogin.
