The candidate is expected to be able to teach graduate courses in pharmacogenomics, pharmacokinetics, and/or clinical pharmacology. As graduate professor the candidate is expected to conduct research and mentor doctoral students during dissertation. As a researcher, the candidate will also participate in the efforts to request external funding. The candidate will also make course assessments, collaborate with the program assessment and continuous improvement process, and participate in the UAGM continuous education training related to active learning and other effective teaching methodologies.

Requisitos / Requirements

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharm D.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Research experience in pharmacology such as clinical pharmacology or biomedical-related areas including cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, drug development, organic chemistry, and chemical biology. Excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills. Publication skills and record. Strong ability to work effectively and collegially with academic colleagues and graduate students.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE: Productive postdoctoral experience is preferred. A Pharm D license is desirable. Teaching experience particularly in the context of a graduate or undergraduate science curriculum is desirable.
