The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of cell biology with a focus on cellular processes important to, or in the context of embryo or tissue formation in any model organism. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful applicant will have demonstrated outstanding success in research, and must have a commitment to the graduate and medical education mission of our Department. We expect that successful candidates will apply state-of-the-art methods (e.g., real-time imaging, genetic, biochemical, structural, genomic and/or mathematical modeling approaches) to address questions in any area at the interface between cell biology and development.
