The application for the 2025 Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program is now open!
This program brings a cohort of graduate students and early-career professionals who have completed their terminal degree within the past 5 years to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in Washington, D.C. Fellows will gain the opportunity to:

Spend 12 weeks exploring all that Washington, D.C. offers;

Gain hands-on experience with science policy by joining a National Academies board;

Learn about science and technology policy through Orientation Week programming and a Weekly Guest Speaker Series;
-
Network with science and technology policy experts from around the country and world;
-
Join a supportive, active network of Mirzayan Fellowship alumni; and
-
Become part of a cohort of like-minded, ambitious individuals.
The 2025 Mirzayan Fellowship will run from March 3–May 23, 2025. Applications are due September 9, 2024.

Eligibility
Individuals are encourage to apply if they are:

Able to attend the full 12-week program in-person in Washington, D.C. from March 3 – May 23, 2025.

One of the following:
-
Current graduate student pursuing a terminal degree* (e.g., Ph. D, M.D., etc.) in any discipline within the sciences, engineering, or medicine (including the social sciences). Students must have completed their coursework in order to be eligible.; OR
-
Have obtained their terminal degree* within the last five (5) years in any discipline within the sciences, engineering, or medicine (including the social sciences). Note: Applicants who exceed this limit due to caregiving leave or military service can still apply.

Based in the United States and do not require visa sponsorship from the National Academies in order to remain in the U.S. during the program dates.
