Post-doctoral Research Position, Department of Biology, University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras A 1-year NIH post-doctoral research position is available starting immediately to pursue studies on the cellular and molecular basis of regeneration of the sea cucumber, Holothuria glaberrima. This is a non-traditional model organism that has been used to investigate intestinal and nervous system regeneration (see JEZ 281:288-304, 1998, JEB 204:865-873, 2001 and Dev. Biol. 250:181-197, 2002). The successful candidate will work on the analysis of regeneration-associated genes in the digestive and nervous systems. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in biological sciences or related disciplines and have demonstrated research excellence. Experience in molecular biology, microscopy, invertebrate biology, and developmental biology is highly desirable. Applicants should send their curriculum vitae, a one page letter describing their research interests, and the names and electronic mail addresses of three references to: Jose E.
