RUM solar boat crowned fastest in Solar Splash 2022

The UPRM Solar Boat team, made up of students from the College of Engineering of the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus (RUM), was crowned the fastest boat in the Solar Splash 2022 competition, which was recently held in Springfield, Ohio. The boat set a time of 23.86 in the speed category, also known as the 300-meter Sprint Event.

Javier R. Rivera Collazo, Jesús R. Torrado Díaz and Eduardo G. Rodríguez Galindo, students at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Departament (INEL) at UPR- Mayagüez (RUM), created a system to tune up guitars and won the 3rd place award at the TI Analog Design Contest, 6th edition, sponsored by Texas Instruments (TI).
