Welcome to CienciaPR, an expert and resource network for all who are interested in science and Puerto Rico.
I study Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. I am very happy that I am part of an investigation team whose mentor is Dr. Carlos Ríos Velázquez. I am a responsible person and when I propose something I do the best to reach it. I like to work in team to share ideas in any project. I love science and I know that this is the campus that I will be working for the rest of my life.
The project investigation is about bioluminescent bacteria in Puerto Rican coasts. I work with Dr. Carlos Ríos-Velázquez and Josué Malavé looking for a bioluminescent bacteria that can tolerate or degrade a hydrocarbon with the purpose to make a biosensor.
