The Puerto Rico Society of Microbiologists is a non for profit organization, local branch of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). The objectives of the Society is promote interest and advance knowledge in the field of Microbiology and allied sciences with special emphasis on problems concerned with tropical areas and to improve the standards of the profession.
