ORNL is the largest U.S. Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security. In addition to the research, these experiences provide access to scientific seminars, facility tours and other networking events. Both programs also provide eligible faculty members an opportunity to invite students to apply to participate on the research project. Selected faculty members and students participate for 10-week summer research appointments. The summer appointment dates are June 4 – August 10, 2018.
