Paid Summer Internships for Undergraduates! Northeast Water Resources Network (NEWRnet) Program.  Internships are intended to help researchers to investigate the impacts of climate variability and extreme weather events on water quality and quantity across the north-south gradient from VT to DE.

Internships involve:

  • 10 weeks of full time research this summer (June – August)
  • Working with primary researchers in the field
  • Design your own independent project with assistance from your mentor
  • Present your work at our research symposium

Veterans, individuals with disabilities, and students from traditionally underrepresented groups and two year colleges are strongly encouraged to apply!

The program begins with a 2-day short course in June and concludes with a student research symposium on August 11th, both of which will be held in Burlington, VT.  Approximately 14 students will be selected to work with researchers at the University of Delaware, University of Vermont, Salve Regina University, and University of Rhode Island.

The 2015 Research Project Descriptions are on the website, and the online application is open.  All application materials must be received by 4:00pm on February 20, 2015.  This internship includes a $4,500 stipend and all required travel is provided!
