The company Blu Caribe, which manufactures bio-equivalent drugs, bought Bioval which was set to close at the end of the year. With this move Blu Caribe saved Bioval's employees from losing their jobs.

On January 12th, 2010, a little after 5:00 P.M. (Eastern Time) Haiti was hit by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake, centered about 10 miles of Port-au-Prince, the nation's capital. This earthquake has affected over 3 million people in this Caribbean country, which is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. You can help Haitian victims of this earthquake. CNN has compiled a list of organizations helping Haiti that can be found here. For example, you can text 'HAITI' to "90999" and you will donate $10 to the American Red Cross to be charged to your cell phone bill. Thank you.
