Judith Enck, regional director for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), recoginized that the process of decontamination and cleaning in Vieques is dragging feet and has deficiencies, even more so if you take into account that the U.S. government doesn't even have a plan to remove the explosives left underwater by the NAVY.

The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (RUM) signed a memorandum of understading with Ahkeo Holdings LCC,  a group of enterprises with offices in Puerto Rico, focused in the development of energy high efficiency technologies. The MOU will establish the first laboratory in micronetworks in Puerto Rico.
