A study from the The Caribbean Primate Research Center (CPRC) of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR), Medical Sciences Campus, revealed that having a big family and strong community bonds prolongs the lifespan of  rhesus macaques.

A pair of space rocks measuring near half a kilometer will pass close to earth in the coming days. Even though their distance is safe, their momentary closeness will allow astronomers to study these asteroids through radio-telescopes, such as the one in Arecibo.

The Station for the Detection of Spores and Fungi from the Medical Sciences Campus at the University of Puerto Rico has joined the 'Worldwide Pollen Monitoring Map’ from the ZAUM Center for Allergies and the Environment in Germany. This interactive map shares information on the levels of fungi, pollen, dessert dust and other allergens, and being included in this initiative is recognition of the work being done at UPR-RCM.
