The tremor of magnitude 4.6 on the Ritcher scale, which occurred on March 12 in southern Guayama, and caused structural damage to schools, buildings and homes in different parts of the country, has raised doubts among experts on whether Puerto Rico is ready to withstand a major earthquake.
