Doctors Greetchen Díaz Muñoz, Roselin Rosario Meléndez and Minerva Cordero Braña, and engineer Beatris Méndez Gandica, organizers of the Semillas de Triunfo (Seeds of Success): IF/THEN Edition program, are included in the world's largest library of resources celberating women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). These women are four of the 125 IF/THEN ambassadors selected by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Lyda Hill Philanthropies as outstanding women in STEM and role models. Semillas de Triunfo: IF/THEN is an initiative of Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR), a non-profit organization that promotes science education and scientific careers. Semillas de Triunfo, which started this August, provides 120 Puerto Rican girls with the opportunity to become STEM ambassadors in their communities.

In addition to Greetchen, Roselin, Minerva and Beatris, several other women who are also highlighted by the IF/THEN Collection will participate in the series of virtual talks "Juntas Podemos" (Together, We Can), which are part of the Semillas de Triunfo program and will take place between November of this year and March 2021. “Juntas Podemos” is a collaboration with the Ecoexploratorio, Science Museum of Puerto Rico, which in turn obtained funding from the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) and IF/THEN for the Girls of the Future online initiative, which recently featured the participation of Greetchen, Roselin and Minerva.

The IF/THEN Collection has thousands of free digital materials, including photos and videos of these powerful women in STEM, and serves as a resource for nonprofits, museums, schools, teachers, camps, parents, the media, and others. Photos and videos are accessible for anyone to view and use for non-commercial purposes. The Collection is a critical component of IF/THEN's mission to inspire young women to pursue careers in STEM, as well as creating a cultural change in the way women in STEM are perceived by the world.

Participants of Semillas de Triunfo: IF/THEN Edition will use the IF/THEN Collection to “meet” more role models and as a tool for their STEM ambassador projects. The IF/THEN Collection will also be shared with science and mathematics educators in Puerto Rico who are part of CienciaPR’s Science Education Program initiatives so that they can use it as a resource in their classes.
