Factors that influence bioluminescence were measured and observed at the Puerto Mosquito Bay in Vieques and in St. Croix. Results show that luminous pollutions influences bioiluminescence in two ways, by inhibiting the bioluminescence of the dinoflagelates and by skewing the perceived luminosity of the observed bioluminescence.
