Physics expert to give public talk about the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, a telescope deep beneath the South Pole

The Arecibo Observatory will host tomorrow, May 2nd at 1:00pm in its Visitor's Center, Dr. James Madsen, Physics professor from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Madsen will offer a conference entitled Science at the Extremes: The IceCube Neutrino Observatory, open to the public, about the Observatory and how it studies the universe. The Observatory is located 1-1.5 miles underneath the surface of the South Pole in the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station.
