The Agricultural Summit will be an exchange of ideas between professors, entrepreneurs, bussiness, agronomists about the present agrifood, the successes achieved, what can be done, its projection and the long terms effects.

The event will be held in the School of Bussiness Administration  and has been organized by the College of Agriculture Science, the College of Agronomists of Puerto Rico and the Department of Agriculure.

Graduate Students from the Department of Civil Engineering (INCI) of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus presented the first instalation of permeable concrete on campus. This new material permits water infiltration, decreasing superificial water run-off and preventing floods.

The Kickstarter campaign will be available until February 19 and seeks to raise $20,000 to buy the neccessary equipment for Wonderen's.

Six students at RUM selected as University Innovation Fellows

Six students at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez (RUM) were selected as University Innovation Fellows (UIF) from Epicenter. UIF is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Venturewell.

The students are: Jonathan Díaz Sepúlveda, Bryan Muñoz Vázquez, Emmanuel Oquendo, Angelisse Ramos Morales, Rodolfo Romañach and Jahannie Torres.
