The Latino Research Institute at the University of Texas at Austin and the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race & Ethnicity at The Ohio State University are pleased to announce the 2026 Summer Intersectional Qualitative Research Methods Institutes (IQRMI) for doctoral students (DS) early career faculty.
The summer institutes are holistically designed to support scholars engaged in qualitative research methods to study intersections of race, gender, class, ethnicity, and other dimensions of inequity. Participants will receive support through mentoring, research and writing workshops, and tailored professional development activities.

Ciencia Puerto Rico (CienciaPR) busca un(a) Interno(a) de Outreach para apoyar la logística y la comunicación del componente de alcance comunitario (Outreach) del programa Semillas de Triunfo. Este rol es clave para coordinar visitas escolares, promover actividades educativas y mantener comunicación efectiva con maestros(as) y colaboradores.
Detalles del internado

Periodo de duración: 20 semanas (8 de enero de 2026 – 28 de mayo de 2026)

Horario de trabajo: ~10 horas por semana (horario flexible; puede incluir actividades presenciales)

Remuneración: $10.50/hora (hasta $2,100 por contrato)

Modalidad: Híbrida (remota + actividades presenciales según necesidad en Puerto Rico)
Responsabilidades
1) General
-
Apoyar tareas administrativas y de organización (cotizaciones, compras, envíos de materiales).
-
Mantener actualizadas tablas maestras y plataformas de trabajo (ASANA, Google Drive, etc.).
-
Apoyar la redacción y diseño de convocatorias para maestros(as) y estudiantes.
-
Mantener comunicación proactiva con escuelas, conferenciantes y equipo interno.
-
Participar en reuniones y actividades virtuales o presenciales del programa y de CienciaPR (según se requiera).
2) Visitas a las escuelas
-
Apoyar la coordinación y logística de visitas escolares.

Colaborar en la elaboración y envío de guías y kits para las escuelas.
-
Dar seguimiento a científicos(as) voluntarios(as) para confirmar logística.

Asistir a visitas y actividades presenciales, cuando sea necesario.

Cualificaciones y destrezas

Estudios: Estudiante universitario(a) que haya completado al menos su segundo año de bachillerato en ciencias naturales.

Organización y proactividad: persona puntual, responsable y capaz de trabajar con autonomía y eficiencia.

Comunicación: excelentes destrezas orales y escritas para interactuar profesionalmente con docentes, científicos(as) y personal interno.

Tecnología: dominio de Microsoft Office y Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).

Plataformas de trabajo: disposición para aprender y manejar ASANA, Drive y otras herramientas colaborativas.

Trabajo en equipo: colaboración efectiva bajo supervisión mínima.

Actitud y servicio: compromiso con la misión educativa y comunitaria de CienciaPR.
