A group of scientist at the Medical Sciences Campus (RCM), University of Puerto Rico (UPR) are studying Huntington's disease. The team is lead by Dr.Sylvette Ayala-Peña.

Ther author is a doctral student at RCM-UPR and a member of Ciencia Puerto Rico.

The Kinesis fellowship sponsored by Fundación Kinesis, grant funding to High students to pursue careers outside Puerto Rico. In the past students have completed their degrees in Harvard, Cornell, Syracuse, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Universidad Autónoma Valencia and Charles University in Prague. Kinesis also has the ProgramBright Stars College Access for students in high school that are planning to obtain bachelors degrees outside Puerto Rico.
